What's In a Name
We're about to resume work around our "What's In a Name" page under "People and Places" but we don't know how to do it for the best just yet. Can you help?

We have one page on site as yet around the Shield family name but have more on at least two more notable Pontburn Valley families, the Embersons and the Fenwicks. You will of course know much more about these family names as well as your own, especialy if you happen to share the name and still live here.
While we're still learning how to use all the feature of our community website, you will by know recognise that the Pontburn Valley Network is all about Learning by Doing. If you can, please join us and help.
What's in a Name? We want to add the Emberson and Fenwick family names and invite your participation. One Emberson family member at least now lives in the US, some are here in Leadgate and others in Dipton. The Fenwick's, Walton's also have folks talking to us from elsewhere.
We know that the Emberson's were the last gamekeepers in the Pontburn Valley and their descendants still have much fascinating detail on their lives. Some of this they may be willing to share while some of course is private.
We think we might work together to assemble what we know on one of our webpages and do the same with other families. Why? You tell us.
