We now have a steady flow of prospective customers coming to us enquiring about wood, usually arts and crafts pieces, but also occasionally still for firewood, which is where we started with our kindling business some years back. We also have orders for doors, shelves and seats, including crackets. We thank Leadgate Post Office and Consett's Glass and Art Gallery in particular for their support and expert guidance.
Our care-takers are also about to re-launch as a social enterprise we hope, we're about to begin our spring programme at Redwell Hills Care Home and Leadgate Infants and resume our work on the C2C between the Jolly Drovers and Villa Real Road Bridge (if Sustrans will allow this). Seems about the right time therefore to try again with our "Village Swap Shop" idea and try again to get help with the network's website.
Has anyone out there by any chance got a charging lead and transformer for a Toshiba laptop that they might care to let us have or swap? We know that these tend to outlast the laptops themselves, cost about £40 new and there must be some sitting surplus to requirements somewhere. If you have one, please get in touch.
