Out and About - In Leadgate of Where Ever
For the past couple of months, since getting their agreement, we've been trying unsuccessfully to bring you "Leadgate's News", the monthly newsletter of the Leadgate Area Partnership via our website and village forum for those with computers and the desire to spread the word", Frustratingly, moreso because it's probably just something really simple we can't spot, our efforts so far have been in vain. If anyone can help, please, please do because its only by sharing our news and working together that we stand some chance of keeping Derwentside's voice heard above the clamour of "more important" things going on elsewhere.
Some of you will also have noticed elsewhere on the website that we're still trying to "sign up" village representatives to help us do this, notably with occasional offerings like this - Out and About - in Leadgate or whereever. Likewise, if you can help us, please do. You don't have to be a poet or a politician, computer expert or budding journalist. All we ask is a few minutes of your time, as and when you want to give it, to talk about your village and what's going on.
Get in touch if you're intererested and if you want to spend a half-hour sorting out a password and a quick session on showing you how to get your news onto your webpage and sent around in a forum message.
Things to say? Anything you want to really, remembering that your village is bound to have its own partnership committee and newsletter which you can tap into and perhaps add to. All we need to do is find a few more people willing to add their own two-penneth and before you know it, we'll become a network of people helping with all manner of things -just by sharing what we know or have found out!
Come on Dipton, Burnopfield, Medomsley and any other villages around here. Let's all get on the same page and do some joined-up working.
